The goal is not to ask a machine to produce opinions and then present those opinions as knowledge. The goal is to increase our capacity to locate literature, compare studies, organize disagreements, identify neglected relationships and turn large bodies of information into questions that deserve closer investigation. ## Research amplification A human researcher has limited time and attention. Scientific and academic literature, meanwhile, grows continuously across disciplines, languages and databases. AI can help reduce part of this asymmetry by assisting with classification, comparison and synthesis at a scale that would otherwise be difficult to maintain. This does not make AI a scientific authority. A model can summarize a paper incorrectly, miss methodological limitations or produce a plausible connection that is not supported by the underlying evidence. For that reason, MIND Plus treats artificial intelligence as an analytical instrument rather than as a source of truth. ## Evidence remains primary The project is structured around traceability. Important claims should be connected to identifiable sources. When studies disagree, the disagreement is part of the result. When evidence is weak, mixed or context-dependent, uncertainty should remain visible rather than being edited away to make a cleaner story. This is especially important in education and human development, where claims that sound intuitively attractive can survive for years even when empirical results are mixed, and where apparently contradictory findings may reflect differences in population, methodology, implementation or context. ## Comparison is part of the method One of the central ambitions of MIND Plus is comparative intellectual work. A single paper rarely settles a difficult educational or social question. What matters is how different studies relate to one another: where they converge, where they diverge, which populations were studied, what outcomes were measured and under what conditions the effects appeared. AI can assist in organizing those relationships. The intellectual task, however, remains broader: deciding which comparisons matter, recognizing conceptual differences, judging whether two results are genuinely comparable and determining what conclusions can reasonably be drawn. ## Philosophy has a specific role Philosophy enters the project not as a separate decorative topic but as a critical layer. Empirical research can tell us a great deal about what happens under particular conditions. It does not, by itself, settle every question about what education ought to value, what autonomy means, how inclusion should be understood or what role technology should have in human development. Those questions require conceptual and ethical analysis alongside empirical evidence. MIND Plus therefore treats philosophy as a way of examining assumptions, categories and consequences across the research program. ## A living research archive The resulting articles are not intended to exist as isolated publications. Research is organized into thematic clusters. As a cluster grows, it can generate evidence reviews, educational dossiers, reports and eventually books. If important gaps remain, the system can direct new research toward those gaps before a larger work is considered mature. This creates a publishing model in which articles, reports and books are different expressions of the same evolving research archive rather than unrelated products manufactured on demand. ## Transparency about AI MIND Plus does not hide the use of artificial intelligence. The use of AI is part of the experiment and therefore part of what should be open to evaluation. The relevant question is not whether a machine participated in the process. The relevant questions are whether sources are traceable, whether the reasoning is open to criticism, whether uncertainty is represented accurately and whether the resulting work is intellectually useful.
